Adeesh Chirayinkeezhu, born on May 31, 1990, in Trivandrum, Kerala, is an esteemed Indian artist and art historian renowned for his expertise in South Indian paintings. His scholarly focus encompasses iconography, iconology, ontology, multiculturalism, religious confluences, cult invasions, resistance theory, and cultural syncretism. Adeesh is currently pursuing a PhD in History of Art from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, Bolpur, West Bengal, India, with a thesis titled “Iconographical Studies: Being of Allegories in the Paintings of Lepakshi Temple.” He completed his MFA in Painting from the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India, and his BFA in Painting from the University of Kerala, India. Adeesh also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India.

Adeesh has been the recipient of several prestigious grants, including a Junior Research Fellowship and a Senior Research Fellowship from the University Grants Commission for his PhD research. He has presented papers at various international conferences and has contributed to reputable journals in the field. His academic achievements include ranking first among MFA previous majors at the College of Art, New Delhi.

Adeesh Chirayinkeezhu's artistic talent has been recognized globally. He participated in the Crack 17 International Art Residency in Bangladesh in 2023, showcasing his work to an international audience. His artworks are housed in the collections of the Piramal Art Museum in Mumbai and with personal collectors in Delhi. Currently, his works are on display at Art 4 All Art Gallery and Champa Tree Art Gallery in New Delhi.
