Sriparna Dutta is an accomplished contemporary artist born in 1992 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and currently based in New Delhi. She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from the University of Hyderabad, having completed her BFA from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata.
Dutta works with female narratives and is actively involves with the local community. Her mediums include paper, textiles, and soft stitched sculptural form.
Sriparna' s art journey is marked by notable achievements, including a solo exhibition titled "Engineering of Art" in 2021, curated by Art Family. Her talent has been recognized through awards such as Birla Award 2024, JK Paper Award (special mention)from Anant Art Foundation and the Map Indian artist Relief Fund Scholarship and the "FIRST TAKE" award from Abir India. She got a National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture India, Sriparna has also participated in 17th Crack International Art Camp, Bangladesh2023 and EDII Art Residency at Apre Art House Mumbai 2023 and prestigious group shows, including "Surface 9" at Art Buzz Studio Jaipur and "REKINDLED Spirits" at Bikaner House, and Cima Award Show, Gem cinema Kolkata 2022
She also Passionate about site- specific workshops and installations, Sriparna continually explores diverse themes in her art, encompassing womanism, landscapes, and societal perspectives. Her unique approach to art has left a profound impact on viewers, garnering admiration for her creative vision and expressive works.
